THANK YOU!!!!!!
It's time that people get this through their heads. Closed minded people are what keeps this world in the dark. The dark ages ended along time ago. Gay lives is sacred. Just because we don't follow the normal life to most don't mean that we are barbaric or still live in caves. We don't have a life style. We haves lives. Lives we would like to live in peace.
We do have children. Most of the time our children come from our own. Lesbians get sperm form gay males. Gay men who want children usually have a lesbian couple carry them. So procreation should not be an issue.
As far a the bible goes. I have never seen gay's mentioned in it. Nor our way of life. Just people who take one or two little verses and try to make a point that is not there. If it is not in black and white don't say it.
Life is not black and white. The bible is suppose to be according to Christians. If that is the case, if it did state that we are an abomination than I guess all Christians who eat swine, shell fish and many other creatures are an abomination as well. Therefore anyone who eats that is going to Christians so called hell. However, the homosexuals are not called out in the bible. The original versions. Stop rewriting the thing. Use the original text and get over it!!!! The other abominations are. If you disagree look it up.
Marriage, its this simple. If all humans can't have the same rights than all marriages need to be abolished. And just in case you are wondering that is going to be our the next step if we can not get equality for all. So how important is your marriage to you? Think about it. What if you wake up tomorrow and read or hear on the radio that all marriages will no longer be recognized and any marriages that are in existence will be annulled. All of you benefits you enjoy will no longer be there. No tax breaks, no insurance, you can't own you home together or any other thing. Life looks bleak don't it.

I read and agree with this article.
I was in a religion my whole life that is until my mid forties and knew something was wrong.
Religious folk tend to argue and find fault to persuade us to believe as they do; religion sucks because there is no room for difference. It is as it says in this article “my way or the highway”
There is no wording that states “leave the church”, nor to believe what was written in this article. This article asks a question: is being spiritual vs religious dangerous.
This is a well written article that over the years found, that this is the “truth”.
I would have to say yes, it is dangerous because it takes money and power away from religion. Does it hurt the spiritual person; no way man.

Wow@ Tim Bloedow, I've never heard a cry for basic human rights being referred to as "whiney" before.

Listen, 2000 years ago there was no Christianity....there was no Christ. There were still gay/bi/TG folks walking around out there....they were celebrated or condemned, depending on which side of the Nile you were from. Sexuality will indeed be the last thing to seem acceptable to hate one another over. This isn't about God. This isn't about a scrawny desert Jew who revolutionized modern spiritual thinking even. This is about sex. Sex and domination. Always has been, always will be. People want to say it's about God or morality or laws....These are all focal points which contain no power unless given by the collective human mind. At the end of the day, we the people are responsible how we treat one another and how we allow ourselves to be treated. Love has many faces and many names....many colors and many religions....many single, married, divorced....many gay, straight, bisexual....many headbangin, preppy, hippie homes are filled with it....and God LOVES love and all it's many many faces.

The bottom line, is at the end of the day if you think that Jesus Christ would approve of your life style you have nothing to worry about. It's bigger than gay vs straight. I am straight, I live in sin with my girlfriend, I don't keep the Sabbath day. (According to this blog the second commandment is silly law and compliance to it is ridiculous) and I curse from time to time. Now at the end of the day I pray for forgiveness because from a Biblical perspective I am not living "right" and I do not believe Jesus Christ would approve of my life. I am still a baby in my walk with Christ and have a lot to learn and I have a lot more work to do to have a life that is acceptable to Him. Now I hope you have comfort that the hard part is over and the battle is won! Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead for us! As long as we believe that fact and are baptized him his name as he commanded us and make an effort to improve each day by obeying him...We are on the "right path" It is not easy but that is our calling and our walk with Christ. But if you believe that the book of Leviticus is silly and twist the scriptures to justify your lifestyle and honestly have a clean conscious at the end of the day, well...the more power to you.
